Perth acoustic duo Polkadot + Moonbeam would have been delighted to bring tunes they grew up with for Evening in the Park for Harmony Week but the EVENT IS CANCELLED. We look forward to sharing the tunes and arrangements with all of you at a better time. Stay positive and speak life.

A whole week of multicultural food and activities to celebrate diversity in the City of Bayswater and beyond. ‘Evening in the Park’ will run from 6:00pm – 9:00pm on Saturday 21st March 2020 at Bert Wright Park (next to Bayswater Library). Polkadot + Moonbeam will open the evening, playing from 6:00pm followed by more upbeat performances from around the world. Expect to hear familiar tunes like Bengawan Solo, Dahil Sa’yo and more in original arrangements by the acoustic duo.

Evening in the Park for Harmony Week
City of Bayswater Mayor Dan Bull said Harmony Week was about promoting inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
“Our community is represented by a rich tapestry of cultures. In fact, almost half of the population in the City of Bayswater were born overseas.
“Everyone belongs in the City of Bayswater, and Harmony Week is a great time to celebrate the many benefits our multicultural society brings.
“Evening in the Park is our headline event for Harmony Week this year, set in the beautiful Bert Wright Park. A vibrant evening of food, free entertainment and performances from around the globe, this is an event not to be missed.
“I encourage you to bring along a picnic, or grab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks onsite. It’s also a great opportunity to visit one of the fantastic local eateries in the Bayswater Town Centre.
Bring your picnic mat, your furbies, and kiddos and join us for an evening of music from our hearts with a twist of swing and latin.
