The Loveliest Little Corner in The World

The Loveliest Little Corner in The World

Less than a year ago, we were placed in the most beautiful corner in the world. Most beautiful because it was unpretentious, simple, and the loveliest space we’d been in for a very long time. A linen banner read ‘Welcome to Our Forever‘ – a small green bunch hung from the beautiful white walls at Stackwood gently dancing with the natural light from the window. Today we are incredibly blessed with one that is our own in our new home. Thank you so much Rachel (www.chiborrello.com) for warming our new burrow-cave. xx P+M

T H A N K Y O U // 🌿 Our own. We’d like to dedicate a post to the beautiful, kind and just brilliant artist that she is, @chi.borrello – thank you for lighting up our home with your genuine heart and your art. The most delightful thing is that her linen art is now available for order. 😱 On ☁️ 9 when I found out. 👆Swipe to see her process. See our 🏠 highlights to see our diy process of ‘The Hang’. • I write when I’m moved, but I mustn’t bore you. Read about it all including how we first fell in ♡ with her work at @stackwood_ in the link in our profile: ‘The Loveliest Little Corner in The World’ • Like @ekdahllisa sings: ‘You’re gonna see a lot of [it]’…in our videos 🎶 ♡ . . . . #perthdesign #perthillustrator #chiborrello #perthmakers #theloveliestlittlecornerintheworld #perthcalligraphy

Here’s the Story:

We recall we played for the Stackwood Wedding Market that night, alongside really good people. Good and just incredibly gifted with these quiet gifts, not so quiet to me. It was screaming to be asked. WHO made this beautiful banner? I really HAD to meet the heart behind it. And my wish was granted before the end of the night. The lovely Jasmyn pointed to Chi Borrello’s exhibiting space. But the maker of this loveliness wasn’t present then, so i passed the message on to the charming Clare – how that loveliness made our night. Little did i know i’d have the pleasure of meeting her, artist, illustrator, designer, and just wonderful soul, Rachel who owns Chi Borrello before we said our goodbyes that night.

The whites, the greens, that natural light. Stackwood was a dream. What was even better were the incredibly talented wedding suppliers we shared the space with. Small businesses mean real people with real hearts. ♥ Thank you for all your love last night, we loved singing/playing every note for you. ♬ Last but never least very special thanks to Jasmyn @jasmynwoodford Sarah(s) 😉 for everything. You were fab! xx more pictures and things in our blog link in profile. ♥ . . . . . #perthbrides @stackwood_ . #stackwoodwedding #vintagewedding #perthweddingfair #weddingswa #perthweddings #weddingfairperth #weddingexpoperth #perthbrides #stackwoodweddingmarket #fremantlebride #intimateweddings #waweddings #fremantleweddings #stackwoodhall #acousticweddingsduo #bohobride #botanicalweddings #thewildstem #lyndleymill #jessicajosiephotographer #vintageweddingsperth #industrialweddings #perthisok #polkadotandmoonbeam #apugnosedream #stackwood #fremantlebrides #vintagewedding #vintagebrides #backyardweddings #acousticduoperth

I barely mentioned my infatuation with the linen banner, and it took her 2 seconds to say, I’ll make one for you! Perhaps it’s her generosity in action or that generosity in spirit, but i felt it expanded a little of my own heart. How blessed are we to be working in an industry that encourages creativity. At that time, I hadn’t seen the option for purchase of these beautiful banners. But it is now! Her craft is unique, we couldn’t think of a better banner for our Polkadot + Moonbeam boutique tours. As we are speaking we are in the midst of waiting for this customised scroll we had envisioned. I love how she is so open to our strange ideas.

If you love that boldness and strength in quiet and softness for your home, wedding, cafe, you’d love her banners + signage.

xx
