We love these mini-clips from these gems of folks, thank you: @weddingupmkt @kissmeyoufool_dilhari @thatlittlegelatocart @christinelimm 🙏 love to all of you x We are very blessed to get to work alongside good pp. truly. Love the backdrop and the floral styling by @a_littlebohemia✨ • Always a little emotional playing at a few of these fairs where we first met some really cool incredibly talented folks. Shared with @christinelimm that though we are very thankful for work, we know we always did this because 8 years ago when we met we had a dream together, and knew that if we got old and toothless we’d still be spotted playing/singing our 4-string swing probably on our porch to our magpie friends. What is your dream? We’ll start: • At the time, we just started dating and in my car (when we still listened to CDs…) in Singapore, I had Stacey Kent’s version of Jimmy van Heusen’s ‘Polkadots and Moonbeams’ on. It so happened he was accompanying a Sydney jazz singer/Friend the same song. That year later we got together, and played our first Polkadot + Moonbeam gig at @berkelouwbooksleichhardt and I met for the first time all his friends who turned up to ‘check the girl out’ lol • We have our share of disagreements, as couples/businesses do, but only for the betterment of the vision we first had for P+M. It took us a long time to come this way. Curating material, getting the chops on, and getting it all down in our hearts. As @owlandbearperth puts it, “still learning!” – we are ALWAYS learning, growing. Our dream: To present those vintage acoustics we first envisioned – standards as well as our originals, with greater skill & honesty across languages. Now your turn. 💁🏻♀️ • We miss seeing a few very special old faces (softie alert!) – really do – but are grateful meeting new creatives. @lisa_spry , @hairbysaratame, @redapron (Clare), @lush_and_luxe (Gemma) @fieldsandskiesphotography (Gareth & Ali), @aquilamusic_oz, @henryclarke_music • Last but not least, thank you @weddingupmarket (Justine/Terri) for having us. Congrats on a great fair x P+M • p/s: There’s always more where it comes from, be kind to one another, and yourselves. An always timely note to ourselves.
